The genius of the tenebrio molitor
Mealworms are rich in many proteins and added value molecules. The Tenebrio molitor – which measures less than three centimeters when fully grown – belongs to the Coleoptera order, which comprises 400,000 different species. Tenebrio molitor and its larvae live in a pure organic environment made up of wheat bran and feeds on vegetal matter. They are ideal as they are not harmful to humans and animals, do not sting and do not spread vector-borne diseases.
All our high added value products come from the mealworm. Our team has developed them for 2 years in our alternative manufacture in Seville with support of CDTI (Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness) and Liège University.

DIETARY COMPONENTS FOR FISH FARMING & PET FOOD
Insects have always been an essential part of the food chain for fish and many mammals. Mealworms are a natural food source rich in a number of proteins needed to strengthen the immune system and nutritional balance of fishes and pets. This increases their physical resilience and improves their digestion. The larvae are made into flour – without the use of chemical products – and become a complete food component or dietary supplement for fish farming and pet food. These have a high level of added nutritional value.
Oils
Oils with a high nutritional yield can be extracted from mealworms. These are an excellent alternative to fish, palm and soybean oils, and are great dietary supplements for fish and animal feed. They are rich in Omega-6 and other fatty acids that are good for human skin, a key component to a range of highly effective organic cosmetic products (anti-inflammatories, anti-ageing solutions).
